I will be able to write articles on what I liked and didn't like during my travels. This is not what I want to show you but to share something deeper.
“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comforts of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things. -air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky. -all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.” ~ Cesare Pavese
Indeed, I have toured Thailand from North to South. I prefer life far from touristy spots. This is where you can best discover the real country. You have to go to the small villages. Spicy food is not a problem for me because I love it a lot! It's similar with Vietnamese foods! Thailand is my best place to live my spirituality and to feel peace.
What I learned on this trip well, they all smile and live the simplicity of life. Please, don't hide your pain behind your smile, I can feel it even if you say nothing. Note that the definition of poor people for me: it's not people don't possess material but it's people don't have value and love inside! In temples, children pray for us so that we elevate ourselves in spirituality while in Europe, we never have a thought for them.
" In essence, the Thai people are not materialistic at all. They’re not in the least driven by the kind of ambition that drives us. The more I got to know them, and the more time I spent with them, the more I understood that this was a totally legitimate attitude to life, and why not? " ~ John Burdett
What impressed me was the visit of the Wat Pho. I was curious to see the Buddha's feet. He is my ancestor and I want to learn more from him. I know how important our feet are and indicate our balance. It is also by walking barefoot in the earth that we connect to the earth.
I learn a lot about the history of Thailand.
There was a day when I took a walk in the jungle to see a waterfall. I sat there to meditate. And then I saw monks come and slide into the water like kids will slide down a slide. Isn't that happiness? To live simple moments that make us become children again?
