Animals

Updated: Mar 28, 2022

We patronize the animals for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they are more finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other Nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.

 Henry Beston

People speak sometimes about the 'bestial' cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts, no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.

― Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

If you ask me what I think about animals... I will answer you that we are the virus. We don't know how to live together, how to protect ourselves and even less how to share. Our architecture and our conditioning don't allow us to live in harmony. This planet belongs to them. They were free and lived here before us. They are my evolved dinosaurs and it's up to us to learn to coexist with them. We took their lands and the day they take it back, they won't ask us for our opinions. They know the heart of each of us. The species disappear but know that the animals are taken elsewhere where they live better. We must not forget who they were. They may look evolved, but the truth is they're still dinosaurs. They don't need to create weapons to protect themselves, some have their own venoms. Small with very pretty bright colours: yellow or red. They are sacred!

All animals are angels. What would we be without them?
